WHERE WE WORK

Heating and AC Repair Service Areas

The Outerbelt, the ring suburbs, and the county seats

Cap City Heating & Air works out of the south side of Columbus, and the map is the Columbus metro, drawn at the scale one small crew can honestly know: the city inside I-270, the ring suburbs around it, and the four county seats at the edges, Delaware, Marysville, Lancaster, and Newark. That is a deliberate boundary. Two vans can cover this ground in a day, and a crew that works the same streets every week learns which decades of housing stock carry which furnaces, which subdivisions were built with which equipment, and which furnace rooms require a flashlight and strong opinions about spiders.

Columbus splits into working chapters. Inside the Outerbelt sit the old neighborhoods: German Village and the Brewery District south of downtown, Victorian Village and the Short North along High Street, Clintonville up the Olentangy, Franklinton in the Scioto floodplain, and the postwar neighborhoods of the east, south, and west sides, much of it built before central air was standard and retrofitted since. Around the ring, Dublin, Powell, Westerville, and Gahanna carry the growth decades: bigger houses, bigger loads, and two-system homes at the top end. The south and southeast arcs, Grove City, Groveport, Obetz, Canal Winchester, and Pickerington, mix village cores with fast subdivision growth. The county seats close the map with older housing stock of their own.

Each town below has its own page, written for its own houses: what was built there, what fails there, and what to ask before you approve a repair.

Your town not on the list? If you are inside the metro's orbit, call Call for same-day help and ask Eddie. The map has edges, but a house one town past the line is a conversation, not an automatic no.
